An Ohio Air National Guardsmen was convicted of rape and will be dishonorably discharged and serve a seven-year prison term, military officials said.
A July court-martial found former Airman 1st Class Collin Lee, 20, guilty on charges that he raped a woman and made a video recording of her genitals without her consent, court records show.
Lee served with the 179th Civil Engineer Squadron at Mansfield Air National Guard Base, Ohio. Court records show the rape took place in nearby Lancaster, Ohio. The trial was held at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
As first reported by the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette, Lee sexually assaulted a then 17-year-old woman outside a house party in July 2014. He filmed the woman’s genitals and then sent the video to friends.
In addition to the incarceration and dishonorable discharge, Lee was demoted to an E-1 airman basic and will forfeit all pay and allowances, court records show.
Lee was found innocent on charges of producing and distributing child pornography.
