Getting drunk on duty will cost an Air Force Reserve lieutenant colonel more than $17,000, the Judge Advocate General’s office announced.
Lt. Col. Jeffrey Harrold pleaded guilty June 4 to a charge of being drunk on duty one day in October.
A flight navigator with the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Harrold will give up $4,381 per month in pay for four months. He received a formal reprimand and has been pulled from flight duties and assigned to ground tasks, a news release from Keesler said.
Air Force Times was unable to reach Harrold or his legal representative for comment.
