The Air Force has selected 98 enlisted airmen for supplemental promotion.

The October selectees include 59 picked for promotion to staff sergeant, 24 selected for technical sergeant, and 15 selected for promotion to master sergeant, the Air Force Personnel Center said Friday.

Airmen tested outside of their required cycle due to an extended temporary duty assignment or deployment to support contingency operations.

The selections were based on promotion scores under the Weighted Airman Promotion System, which include factors such as time in grade, time in service, enlisted performance reports, decorations, promotion fitness examination scores and specialty knowledge test scores.
