One person was injured when a gas line exploded at the Air Force Academy on Tuesday morning.
A construction crew hit the gas line while working on a water line project at approximately 8:30 a.m., according to Academy spokesman Lt. Col. Allen Herritage.
The explosion happened near Douglas Valley Housing, which is part of base housing.
The injured person was taken to a local hospital, but no other information is available.
First responders are investigating the specific cause of the explosion, Herritage said.
