They will quickly begin taking part in missions with joint, coalition and partner forces, as well as theater air training, AFCENT said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AFCENT said the squadron\u2019s presence improves the command\u2019s ability \u201cto deter aggression and promote security and stability\u201d within the U.S. Central Command\u2019s area of responsibility in the Middle East region.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<aside class=\"smg-interstitial-link wp-block-smg-interstitial-link\">\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/airforcetimes\/news\/your-air-force\/2019\/10\/24\/f-15e-strike-eagles-deploy-to-al-dhafra\/\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"smg-interstitial-link__media\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/F-15E-Al-Dhafra-5.JPG.jpg?w=300\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__image wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"smg-interstitial-link__content\">\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"smg-interstitial-link__kicker\">Related<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"smg-interstitial-link__title\">F-15E Strike Eagles deploy to Al Dhafra<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"smg-interstitial-link__excerpt\">The Strike Eagles will join other aircraft including the F-35A, the KC-10 Extender, and the RQ-4 Global Hawk.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe deployment of the 480th Fighter Squadron demonstrates the U.S. Air Force\u2019s agility and CENTCOM\u2019s commitment to allies and partners to bolster security and stability in the region,\u201d AFCENT commander Lt. Gen. Zade Vadnais\/Air Force)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the Air Force\u2019s first dynamic deployment to CENTCOM since October 2019, when a detachment of F-16s from Aviano Air Base in Italy deployed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AFCENT said these kind of dynamic deployments allow joint force commanders the ability to quickly and easily move forces into and across a theater to gain or maintain an advantage over an adversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last month, a squadron of F-35A fighters from Hill Air Force Base in Utah wrapped up a five-month deployment to Al Dhafra.
