WASHINGTON \u2014 Gen. Paul Selva was confirmed Monday by a voice vote for a second two-year term as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The confirmation came without drama, much like Selva\u2019s hearing in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee on July 18. The vote gives him another two-year term in his current role. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Selva has served in the vice chairman role since 2015. His previous assignments included heading U.S. Transportation Command, the Air Force\u2019s Air Mobility Command before that, and a year as vice command with Pacific Air Forces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
