It coincides with the eligibility cutoff date for promotion to staff sergeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>May-June: <\/strong>Testing window for senior airman promotions to staff sergeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Around July:<\/strong> Promotions to staff sergeant announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>August: <\/strong>New EPR form released for consideration in 2016 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>March 2016:<\/strong> Forced distribution \u2014 the percentage of airmen who will be most recommended for promotion in 2016 and beyond \u2014 goes into effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff sergeant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Calendar 2015 cycle: <\/strong>First incremental reduction in time-in-grade and time-in-service points. EPR calculation weight changed. Transition from evaluating last five EPRs to no more than last three EPRs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jan. 31:<\/strong> Static closeout date on which EPRs are completed. It coincides with the eligibility cutoff date for promotion to technical sergeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>February-March:<\/strong> Testing window for promotion to tech sergeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Around June:<\/strong> Promotions to tech sergeant announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>August:<\/strong> New EPR form released for consideration in 2016 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>January 2016:<\/strong> Forced distribution goes into effect for consideration in 2016 and beyond<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technical sergeant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Calendar 2015 cycle: <\/strong>First incremental reduction in time-in-grade and time-in-service points. EPR calculation weight changed. Transition from evaluating last five EPRs to no more than last three EPRs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>February-March: <\/strong>Testing window for promotion to master sergeant. This will determine who will go before the first master sergeant promotion board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>May: <\/strong>First master sergeant promotion board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TBA, likely during summer:<\/strong> Promotions to master sergeant announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>August: <\/strong>New EPR form will be released for 2016 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>November:<\/strong> Forced distribution goes into effect for 2016 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nov. 30:<\/strong> Static closeout date on which EPRs are completed. It coincides with the eligibility cutoff date for promotion to master sergeant in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Master sergeant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Calendar 2015 cycle: <\/strong>First incremental reduction in time-in-grade and time-in-service points. EPR calculation weight changed. Transition from evaluating last five EPRs to no more than last three EPRs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>January-February:<\/strong> Evaluation board for promotion to senior master sergeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Around March:<\/strong> Promotions to senior master sergeant announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>April: <\/strong>New EPR form released for 2016 and beyond. New restrictions announced on how many stratifications senior raters can give to their promotion-eligible master sergeants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>June 3:<\/strong> Change of reporting official reports \u2014 which were used when an airman had two or more raters within an annual rating period \u2014 eliminated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sept. 30: <\/strong>Static closeout date on which EPRs are completed. It coincides with the eligibility cutoff date for promotion to senior master sergeant in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>December:<\/strong> Testing window for promotion to senior master sergeant in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senior master sergeant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>April: <\/strong>New EPR form released.
