Kali Gradishar. David Owens was fired from command of the 317th Airlift Wing at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas after an investigation outlined a repeated pattern of him berating and ridiculing airmen under his command and toxic leadership.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gradishar said Col. Jeffrey Menasco, commander of the 317th Airlift Wing, removed Leija because he had a \u201closs of confidence in [Leija\u2019s] ability to lead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lt. Col. Jonathan Izworski, the deputy commander of the 317th Maintenance Group, is serving as the interim commander of the squadron, Gradishar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leija has been in the Air Force for 18 years, and his decorations include the Bronze Star.
