Sgt. Tabitha Lee said Sunday was also sentenced to a dismissal \u2014 which is the equivalent of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airforcetimes.com\/news\/your-air-force\/2017\/12\/20\/air-force-academy-restructures-embattled-sexual-assault-office\/\" target=_blank>dishonorable discharge<\/a> for officers and cadets \u2014 and total forfeitures of pay and allowances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He will be required to register as a sex offender, Lee said, and will likely have to repay the Air Force for the education he received at the academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/gazette.com\/military\/air-force-academy-cadet-convicted-in-sexual-assault-court-martial\/article_d0f17412-2673-11e9-8557-e7fa8a5b6b8e.html\" target=_blank>Colorado Springs Gazette reported<\/a> that Sunday\u2019s lawyer plans to appeal his conviction, citing evidence that was not allowed to be presented at the trial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cadet
