Col. Kenneth Beadle was relieved of command due to \u201ca loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead,\u201d a spokesperson for the 27th Special Operations Wing told <a href=\"https:\/\/taskandpurpose.com\/news\/air-force-special-operations-medical\/\" target=\"_blank\">Task &amp; Purpose<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beadle initially took command of the 27th Special Operations Medical Readiness Squadron on July 9, 2021. Most command posts such as Beadle\u2019s are held for two years, according to a<a href=\"https:\/\/media.defense.gov\/2017\/Apr\/05\/2001727301\/-1\/-1\/0\/B_0009_SMITH_COMMANDING_SQUADRON.PDF\" target=\"_blank\"> leadership manual<\/a> from Air University Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beadle began his almost 30-year career in the Air Force as an enlisted medical technician before being selected for the inter-service physician assistant program, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannon.af.mil\/About\/Biographies\/Display\/Article\/1895108\/robert-woolley\/\" target=\"_blank\">Col. Robert Woolley<\/a>, who leads the 27th Special Operations Medical Group, said during Beadle\u2019s assumption of command ceremony last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exact reason for the relief was not provided. But the \u201cdecision was reached after leadership carefully considered inputs and observations made throughout his one-year as commander,\u201d Misty Mercado, a Cannon AFB spokesperson told Task &amp; Purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe 27 SOW is committed to maintaining good order and discipline by holding leaders accountable to Air Force standards and expectations,\u201d Mercado said. \u201cIt is important that all leaders foster a unit culture built on our service core values.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mercado added that the wing \u201cis currently determining the best way forward to address the situation,\u201d when asked by Task &amp; Purpose about an investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a matter of privacy for the individual, no further details will be provided at this time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lt.
