No. 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recent scan of online forums revealed that new recruits beginning their military career have one very big concern: number two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat is it like pissing\/s**tting in boot camp?\u201d asked one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/USMCboot\/comments\/aedt5b\/what_is_it_like_pissingshitting_in_boot_camp\/\" target=\"_blank\">Redditor<\/a>. His concerns were not isolated. Scores of posters on Reddit, Quora and Twitter have taken to social media and message boards to ask about the service-by-service basic training bathroom situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Offered solutions to the deuce dropping conundrum run the gamut, with some of the experiences of past recruits proving rather harrowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most consistent advice, it seems, is to go after dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPoop at night. It\u2019s most peaceful then,\u201d wrote user DogofWar. \u201cTechnically you can always ask to go to the head if you absolutely can\u2019t hold it. Usually you\u2019ll get f***ed with but they\u2019ll still let you go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few others echoed that sentiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou\u2019ll be awake prior to 0400 due to all kinds of noises at night,\u201d user TacticalTaco01 wrote. \u201cUse this time to use the head, even if you don\u2019t think you have to go, go ahead and flush yourself out. It really sucks holding it in while getting f***ed with in the morning on line.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another user found his latrine time downright enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI used to s**t every evening after mail call during your one hour \u2018free time,\u2019\u201d wrote CoffeeJoeJava. \u201cSitting on the can reading letters!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, not everyone experiences the same luck when pursuing floodgate release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHad one guy in my platoon piss himself on the firing line during weapons qual because he waited 2 hours for his turn to shoot and didn\u2019t want to lose his spot,\u201d wrote user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Military\/comments\/3y1w9z\/how_common_is_shitting_your_pants_or_pissing\/\" target=\"_blank\">TheLaughingMan21<\/a>. \u201cHe decided pissing himself was the correct answer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most accidents, it appears, are self-inflicted like the above. In essence, if you have to go, sound off. You might be given a hard time about it, but the alternative is &#8230; much more messy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhile in basic, we were on a 10-mile ruck and one of the guys in my platoon needed to take a s**t,\u201d wrote user gte401e. \u201cDidn\u2019t say anything on the bus back to the barracks or when we were dropping off the weapons. Afterwards, he told our [drill sergeant] and immediately he yelled for me to accompany this guy to the barracks. I had no idea what was going on until we were inside and took a whiff.
