Kevin Reilly, the show’s chairman, said in a written statement that the auto industry has long supported the military.
“We look forward to celebrating our courageous servicemen and women with this tribute,” the statement said.
Service members and vets from across the military turned out. A special section of the show; held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.; featured exhibits from the Yellow Ribbon Fund, National Guard and Red Cross.
In addition, the 257th Army Band was scheduled to perform.
