Once complete, the two pieces of legislation will set spending levels and priorities for the military.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The House Foreign Affairs Committee will renew its criticism of Iranian detention policies with testimony Tuesday from family members of Americans held against their will in that country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Senate Veterans&#8217; Affairs Committee will hold its 16th hearing of the year Wednesday, which is significant because it matches the total hearings held by the committee in all of 2014. Their House counterparts will also take up a series of health care-related questions during hearings Monday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Monday<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/veterans.house.gov\/hearing\/circumvention-of-contracts-in-the-provision-of-non-va-healthcare\"><span style=\"color: #1155cc;\">House Veterans&#8217; Affairs<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 4 p.m. \u2014 Cannon 334<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i>Contracting issues<br\/><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The subcommittee on oversight will review problems with VA contracting, including allegations of violating existing agreements in outside health care issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Tuesday<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/docs.house.gov\/Committee\/Calendar\/ByEvent.aspx?EventID=103552\" title=\"http:\/\/docs.house.gov\/Committee\/Calendar\/ByEvent.aspx?EventID=103552\"><span style=\"color: #1155cc;\">House Foreign Affairs <\/span><\/a><span>\u2014 10 a.m. \u2014 Rayburn 2172 <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i>Iran<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee will hear from family members of Americans detained in Iran and efforts to get them released.
