northern Colorado with the country\u2019s highest honor for their efforts in liberating France from Nazi control in 1944.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reporterherald.com\/news\/wwii\/ci_31369298\/world-war-ii-veterans-from-loveland-receive-french\">The Loveland Daily Reporter-Herald reports<\/a> that the Honorary Consul for France Jeffrey Richards pinned the medal on each of the men to bestow them with the rank of chevalier in the National Order of the Legion of Honor on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The veterans Le Moyne Anderson, Oliver Lee Bashor, Joe Hoberman, Samuel Lesser and Richard Mann were celebrated at the ceremony held in a gym at the Colorado National Guard\u2019s Windsor Readiness Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoberman says he accepted the honor on behalf of his friends still in France and \u201cfor the many more that just didn\u2019t live long enough to receive this honor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The French government presented five
