Like many others, Marine Corps Reserve Staff Sgt. James Caldwell has a lasting, personal connection with the Toys for Tots <\/a>program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About eight years ago when he was a door greeter during a Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots distribution event<\/a> for a group of children in foster care, he handed a little girl a bag of toys. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She reached into the bag and pulled out a stuffed animal and said, \u201cSomeone needs to make sure you get a toy, too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caldwell, in one of the many stories told on the Toys for Tots website<\/a>, says he had to walk away for a few minutes because of his tears, and that experience is one reason for his passion in continuing to volunteer for the 76-year-old program.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
