Police in Fayetteville, North Carolina, are actively searching for a missing Fort Bragg soldier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sgt. Carl Seeman, 25, was reported missing by another soldier around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seeman is still considered missing, although there are no signs of foul play at this time, Officer Asia Cannon, a spokeswoman for the Fayetteville police department, told Army Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A native of Churchville, New York, Seeman has been in the Army since 2011 and in the 82nd Airborne Division since 2015, division spokesman Lt. Col. Joe Buccino told Army Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\u2019s assigned to 2nd Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seeman\u2019s unit was set to depart for Fort Polk, Louisiana, for training on Sunday morning, but his fellow soldiers became worried when he never showed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The paratrooper\u2019s status was changed from \u201cpresent\u201d to \u201cAWOL\u201d on Monday, Buccino said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fayetteville police recovered Seeman\u2019s vehicle at a local Walmart shortly after he was reported missing on Sunday night. Cannon confirmed that Seeman\u2019s cellphone was found in the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cannon said the police department\u2019s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team is currently on the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeman has three younger siblings who are also in the military. His mother, Jennifer Seeman<\/a>, has taken to social media to ask for help locating her son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
