Daniel Doyle, 32, was a member of the Florida National Guard, according to Stars and Stripes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He had been reported missing a few days before his body was found in a &#8220;seedy, industrial part&#8221; of Vicenza in northern Italy, the  <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stripes.com\/us-army-africa-soldier-who-was-found-dead-in-vicenza-is-identified-1.467366#.WRCquNwpBhF\" target=\"_blank\">newspaper reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doyle joined the Florida Guard in 2005, U.S. Army Africa told Stars and Stripes. Doyle was two months into a six-month assignment with U.S. Army Africa, which is based in Vicenza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A USARAF spokesman told the newspaper that Doyle was, &#8220;as far as we know, pretty much a model soldier.&#8221; <br\/> <br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last positive identification of the soldier was at 9:30 p.m. on May 1 when he was seen getting into a taxi outside of the military installation, the spokesman said. <br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cause of death is under investigation by the U.S. military and Italian authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/> <i>Charlsy Panzino covers the Guard and Reserve, training, technology, operations and features for Army Times and Air Force Times.
