What\u2019s the connection?\u00a0It\u2019s not fully known.\u00a0We do know PTSD is a disorder that negatively impacts emotional, physical, and relationship health.\u00a0We also know that these same areas are important to maintaining healthy sexual functioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ED is one of those topics men just don\u2019t like to talk about.\u00a0It\u2019s embarrassing for many and can cause a man to question his masculinity.\u00a0If you are having this issue, then you need to put those feelings and doubts behind you and see a doctor.\u00a0The exact cause can often be identified, and good treatments are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve always had a strong sex drive. But for some reason I just don’t care about it anymore.\u00a0I think it started sometime after my third deployment.\u00a0My husband thinks I don’t love him anymore, but I do very much.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Sexual dysfunction comes in many different forms.\u00a0Some people experience disturbances in arousal, whereas others struggle with desire or completion (achieving orgasm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Low sex drive, or what experts refer to as hypoactive or inhibited sexual desire, is a relatively common problem for women.\u00a0For some, it may be short-lived and tied to a transient period of increased stress or fatigue.\u00a0For others, it\u2019s more chronic and can wreak havoc on intimate relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first step is to visit a healthcare provider to rule out hormonal abnormalities. Just like with men, certain hormones that are too high or too low can lead to sexual\u00a0 problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If things check out medically, then it’s time to consider psychological causes.\u00a0You may need to rid your life of stress, increase your sleep, or have an overdue conversation with your partner to assess the health of your relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
