the F\/A-18E\/F.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the contract awarded by prime contract Boeing, Lockheed Martin will upgrade its IRST21 sensor system, including \u201cdeveloping advanced software, performing hardware upgrades and delivering prototypes\u201d according to a Lockheed Martin announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThese efforts will further enhance IRST21\u2032s proven detection, tracking and ranging capabilities in radar-denied environments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Block II contracts are worth up to $100 million. \u201cThe U.S. Navy\u2019s strategic block upgrade program enables us to continue advancing our technology and rapidly deliver it to the war fighter,\u201d said Lockheed Martin Vice
