Joyce was appointed to the National Security Council post earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McCain says the absence of Joyce underscores \u201ca fundamental misalignment between authority and accountability in our government today when it comes to cyber.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Florida Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson suggested the committee consider issuing a subpoena to compel Joyce\u2019s testimony.
