target=\"_blank\">vehicle <\/a>that the Army plans to test whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armytimes.com\/digital-show-dailies\/ausa\/2017\/10\/09\/robotic-vehicle-can-lighten-soldiers-loads-for-long-duration-patrols\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">robotic vehicles fit in their formations<\/a> has released details of its submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armytimes.com\/news\/your-army\/2018\/03\/23\/two-army-brigade-combat-teams-will-get-to-test-an-autonomous-robot-vehicle-this-year\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">Army\u2019s <\/a>1st Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st Brigade Combat Team at 10th Mountain Division will be the first teams in the Army to run training missions and testing with these robotic systems in the formations, said Bryan McVeigh, project manager for the service\u2019s Force Protection Robotics Portfolio at an April conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program, dubbed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armytimes.com\/news\/your-army\/2018\/03\/23\/two-army-brigade-combat-teams-will-get-to-test-an-autonomous-robot-vehicle-this-year\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport<\/a> aims to remove much of a soldier\u2019s load by carrying gear, ammo, food and water to fulfill a dismounted squad\u2019s needs while on longer patrol.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<aside class=\"smg-interstitial-link wp-block-smg-interstitial-link\">\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/armytimes\/news\/your-army\/2017\/10\/09\/the-army-is-working-on-combat-deployable-robots\/\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div logistics-based roles, said a lead Army Research Laboratory researcher.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/military.polaris.com\/en-us\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">Polaris Industries<\/a> announced this week that the Army had purchased 20 of its <a href=\"https:\/\/military.polaris.com\/en-us\/choose-model\/?wholegoodbrand=mrzr\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">MRZR X<\/a> multi-mode vehicle platforms as one of the four prototypes to test in these new robotic trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"343\"
