Military training contractor Cubic Corp. is expanding into the C4ISR business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cubic has bought two ISR firms. TeraLogics LLC<\/span>, which provides full-motion video for the Department of Defense, was acquired for $39 million. “TeraLogics\u2019 ability to develop real-time video analysis and delivery software for full motion video is complementary to Cubic\u2019s existing tactical communications portfolio, and establishes Cubic as a key player in the ISR full motion video market,” said a Cubic news release. “In addition, TeraLogics\u2019 current customer base extends Cubic\u2019s customer reach and ability to bid on new contracts and enables access to critical programs of record supporting expeditionary warfare. Cubic\u2019s established international presence will benefit further from global demand for TeraLogics\u2019 products.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cubic is also acquiring GATR, a manufacturer of deployable satellite communication terminals, for $232.5 million. “Its intellectual property portfolio for its award-winning antenna solutions is a clear differentiator and complementary to existing Cubic product lines from the recent DTECH LABS, Inc., acquisition,” Cubic said. “The combination of those existing products with GATR\u2019s superior offering will enable a broader selection for satcomSATCOM<\/span> applications and expansion of sales to both domestic and international customers.
