The one-star general leading the effort told an audience at the annual Association of Old Crows symposium that he is already seeing changes at lower levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<aside class=\"smg-interstitial-link wp-block-smg-interstitial-link\">\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/c4isrnet\/electronic-warfare\/2018\/11\/14\/air-force-to-wrap-up-electronic-warfare-study-by-january\/\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"smg-interstitial-link__media\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/4833958.jpg.jpg?w=300\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__image wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"smg-interstitial-link__content\">\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"smg-interstitial-link__kicker\">Related<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"smg-interstitial-link__title\">Air Force to wrap up electronic warfare study by January<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"smg-interstitial-link__excerpt\">The review will help the Air Force figure out how to defeat high-end threats as far out as 2040.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, the team has participated in exercises as a way to help shape the message of what the force of the future will need to be. In addition, Brig. Gen. David Gaedecke said that the team has been involved in planning and programming discussions to examine how the service will make investments in the future and understand that environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat I\u2019ve done is try to follow the chief [of staff\u2019s] guidance with our team \u2026 to say, \u2018what can we execute without having to ask the leadership,\u2019\u201d Gaedecke said Nov. 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein, Gaedecke said, has told him that the Air Force needs options that it can execute and not another study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team is preparing to brief senior leaders on the results in mid-January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat I\u2019m wrestling with most, and what I\u2019m working through now, is what do I take forward to say can we do it and not just study it,\u201d Gaedecke said. \u201cThat\u2019s what I\u2019m going to ask our leadership for.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Air
