airborne command post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the contract modification, Rockwell Collins will install \u201cBlock I\/Internet Protocol Bandwidth Expansion Phase 3\/Block IA Very Low Transmit Terminal\/Nuclear Planning and Execution System kit on one E-6B aircraft,\u201d according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The E-6B serves as a command and control centers for the Pentagon\u2019s strategic nuclear forces and can relay orders to submarines and destroyers.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis modification also provides for field support engineering, training, software licenses, technology refresh activities and travel funding in support of E-6B Block I full-rate production.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work is scheduled to be completed by June 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rockwell Collins will
