Such resilience is needed, defense officials say, as the U.S. prepares for potential fights against other advanced adversaries capable of waging effective electronic warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mike Trzeciak, a project manager at the program executive office, in a statement said DAPS \u201censures access to modernized military GPS and fuses additional sources of PNT to include timing and alternate navigation technologies.\u201d The gear, he added, \u201cis a critical enabling capability\u201d for the Army\u2019s multidomain operations and ability to deter and defeat an enemy with help from others in any location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MAPS GEN II is considered a step up from its predecessors, known as GEN I and GEN 1.2. The Pentagon\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c4isrnet.com\/electronic-warfare\/2023\/02\/02\/pentagon-tester-gives-thumbs-up-to-us-army-electronic-warfare-planner\/\" target=\"_blank\">independent weapons tester<\/a> in a January report said GEN II is an \u201cimproved version,\u201d capable of stand-alone use or pairing with other soldier-worn kit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TRX Systems has for years worked with the Defense Department.
