The equipment was mounted on the underside of a Gulfstream business jet during flight tests at Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i>RELATED: <\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i>Eurofighter nations team for AESA radar development<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Raytheon announcement described the demonstration, a part of the Next Generation Jammer project, as the first time the system had been powered by the air stream. &#8220;The combination of jamming techniques, beam agility, array-transmit power and jammer management was very effective against the threat systems and all test objectives were met or exceeded,&#8221; Raytheon said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Eight months after award of the NGJ program we successfully flew the integrated prototype system against representative threat radars,&#8221; said Travis Slocumb , vice president of electronic warfare systems at Raytheon&#8217;s Space and Airborne Systems division. &#8220;This demonstrates the capability and readiness of the core enabling technologies for the
