An RTX spokesperson on April 1 told C4ISRNET <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c4isrnet.com\/industry\/2023\/10\/25\/rtx-sells-cybersecurity-intelligence-business-unit-for-13-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\">the deal had gone through<\/a> and that Nightwing was \u201cnot connected\u201d to the defense contractor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spokesperson did not name the buyer. Reuters previously reported it as private equity firm Blackstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nightwing\u2019s leadership features RTX alumni, including John DeSimone, Steve Worley, Timothy Zentz, Jon Check, Lori Scherer and Ron McDermott. The company <a href=\"https:\/\/nightwing.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">bills itself <\/a>as \u201c40 years in the making.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNightwing may be a new name, but we\u2019re no amateurs,\u201d its website reads. \u201cPreviously part of a leading Fortune 100 company, we became independent in 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RTX is the second-largest defense contractor in the world when ranked by defense-related revenue. The Virginia-based company earned $39.6 billion in defense revenue in 2022 and $41.9 billion in 2021, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/people.defensenews.com\/top-100\/\" target=\"_blank\">Defense
