BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (August 12, 2026) — Regent, the global holding company founded by investor Michael Reinstein, today announced its investment in Lovable’s $400 million Series C financing at a $13.3 billion valuation. The round was led by Menlo Ventures and co-led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT; Regent joins as the round’s new U.S. investor.

Regent’s investment follows its adoption of Lovable across its global portfolio. Regent uses Lovable to develop software and AI-enabled tools that support operations across its companies, and Regent’s own corporate website was built and is hosted on Lovable.

“We were customers before we were investors,” said Michael Reinstein, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Regent. “I’ve spent my career buying, building and transforming businesses, and the constraint is rarely ideas — it’s the distance between the person who sees a problem and the ability to solve it. Lovable collapses that distance. We experienced that firsthand as customers across Regent, and it’s what gave me the conviction to back the company. This isn’t simply a faster way to build software. It’s a different way to run a business.”

Lovable enables people to build software using natural language, putting the ability to create applications directly into the hands of entrepreneurs and teams inside established businesses. Since launching in November 2024, more than 60 million projects have been created on the platform, Lovable-built applications see more than 900 million visits monthly, and the platform has reached employees at nearly two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies.

Reinstein founded Regent as a long-term holding company focused on acquiring, building and transforming businesses across industries. The Lovable investment reflects Regent’s broader conviction that artificial intelligence will become a central driver of business transformation across its global portfolio.

“AI has the potential to transform virtually every business,” Reinstein said. “Our approach at Regent is to deploy it, learn from it and back the technologies we believe can fundamentally change how companies operate. Lovable is one of those technologies.”

Regent looks forward to supporting Lovable co-founders Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin and their team as the company continues to scale globally.

About Regent

Founded by investor Michael Reinstein, Regent is a privately held global holding company headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, with offices in New York, London and Munich. Regent owns and invests in more than 50 businesses across the luxury, fashion, beauty, consumer, media, technology, industrial and automotive sectors, taking a long-term approach to building and transforming businesses across its global portfolio.

ARLINGTON, VA., March 2, 2026 — Defense News today announced its inaugural 2026 Tech Disruptors list, recognizing the executives, engineers, founders and program leaders driving measurable transformation across the defense technology landscape. The list is a flagship component of the Defense News Index, announced earlier this year to spotlight the individuals shaping the future of national defense.

Tech Disruptors is a who’s who of those turning ambition into action, delivering breakthrough technologies, compressing acquisition timelines and putting capability directly into the hands of warfighters.

What Makes a Tech Disruptor?

Selection for the 2026 list required demonstrated impact across one or more of the following criteria:

Breakthrough development: Conception and deployment of technologies that redefine what’s operationally possible

Mission impact: Measurable improvements to readiness, lethality, survivability or decision advantage

Acquisition acceleration: Proven ability to compress timelines and cut through legacy procurement barriers

Commercial-to-defense transfer: Successfully translating commercial innovation into fielded military capability

Process disruption: Challenging how the defense industry has traditionally built, bought and delivered

A Sector at an Inflection Point

This year’s honorees reflect a defense ecosystem undergoing fundamental change. Artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, cybersecurity, resilient space architectures, advanced manufacturing and secure cloud infrastructure are no longer simply emerging priorities; they are operational requirements.

The 2026 Tech Disruptors span established primes, growth-stage companies, venture-backed startups and public-sector innovation units. What unites them is a single defining trait: the ability to move technology from whiteboard to warfighter.

“These leaders offer a glimpse into an industry that is evolving at a blistering pace,” said JD Simkins, Editor in Chief of Defense News. “The 2026 Tech Disruptors are not just parroting modernization and lethality talking points of years past. These are the individuals responsible for building and fielding capabilities that are going to leave an indelible mark on the battlefields of tomorrow.”

The list arrives as national and global security demands faster innovation and tighter government-industry collaboration. From software-defined warfare to next-generation sensors and data platforms, industry is emphasizing speed and scalable solutions built for modern threat environments. This year’s honorees are at the forefront of that transformation.

“Disruption in defense is not about noise,” said Kelly Facer, Senior Vice President of Defense News. “It is about disciplined innovation, building technologies that matter, in ways that challenge how this industry has traditionally operated.”

About the Defense News Index

The Defense News Index is an annual recognition program identifying the individuals defining the defense sector across technology, operations, policy and force development. The Tech Disruptors list is one of several categories within the Index, with additional recognitions rolling out throughout 2026.

Arlington, VA, January 21, 2026 – Defense News today announced the launch of the Defense News Index, a new editorial franchise recognizing the individuals driving consequential change across the global defense ecosystem.

The Defense News Index will provide a comprehensive view of how modern defense capability is shaped, from breakthrough innovation to operational deployment, strategic decision-making and industrial-scale execution.

Together, the Index highlights leaders who turn possibility into reality, set directions and scale impacts across the defense industry.

“Military advantages today are not built in one place or by one industry leader,” said J.D. Simkins, Defense News editor-in-chief. “The Defense News Index reflects today’s diverse industry contributions as well as the people responsible for the innovation that becomes military advantage.”

Four Lists. One Integrated View of Defense Power.

The Defense News Index is organized into four complementary Who’s Who lists, each evaluating leadership impact through a distinct lens:

Tech Disruptors recognize individuals expanding what is technologically possible in defense through innovation, disruption and scale.

Operational Transformers highlight leaders who turn innovation into deployed, mission-ready capability used by warfighters.

Strategic Architects showcase those shaping long-term defense strategy, force design, policy and modernization priorities.

Force Multipliers recognize leaders who scale, sustain and industrialize defense capability to deliver lasting operational advantage.

Together, these lists paint a picture of how defense capability is conceived, delivered and sustained in an era defined by competition, speed and scale.

Selection Criteria Grounded in Impact

Honorees are selected by Defense News based on measurable outcomes, demonstrated influence, scale of responsibility and recent achievements.

Candidates span government, military, industry and allied organizations, reflecting the interconnected nature of today’s defense ecosystem.

The Index emphasizes real-world impact over titles alone, recognizing leaders whose work has materially influenced readiness, modernization, deterrence and operational effectiveness.

More Than a List

The Defense News Index is designed to be more than a recognition program. It serves as a signal to the defense community, highlighting where influence is concentrated, how decisions are being made and who is delivering results across the defense enterprise.

The inaugural Defense News Index will roll out throughout 2026, with each list published as part of Defense News’ ongoing coverage of defense innovation, operations, strategy and industry.

The Walt Disney Company announced its participation in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena with its “Disney Celebrates America” entry, designed as a patriotic tribute to the nation’s 250th anniversary. This vibrant entry celebrates the country’s semiquincentennial in uniquely Disney ways, leaning into the dreams, stories, and optimism that have touched the lives of people across the country and around the world for the past century.

Leading the procession will be a Disneyland vehicle carrying Mickey Mouse and friends adorned with patriotic décor and red, white and blue flowers. They will be joined by more than 50 U.S. military veterans who now serve as Disney cast members and their families, symbolizing the company’s deep appreciation for those who have served our country and now help create magic for millions. The selection of the flowers on the vehicle holds special meaning for those who serve our country in uniform.

Each of the vibrant flowers on the car hold significance for military veterans. They include the red poppies widely recognized as a symbol of remembrance for fallen military personnel dating back to World War I. Other flowers featured in Disney’s entry include rosemaries, blue irises, white lilies, chrysanthemums and red roses to express love, honor, and appreciation for veterans everywhere.

This milestone is an opportunity to honor Walt Disney’s enduring love of country and our century-long support for those who serve — a legacy that began with Walt and Roy O. Disney’s contributions during the First World War and continues today. As part of this celebration, Disney is proud to highlight U.S. military veterans working across the company as well as our expanded support for military families — including a $2.5 million donation to Blue Star Families.

“The Walt Disney Company is proud to participate in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade as part of our ‘Disney Celebrates America’ initiative honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary,” said Robert A. Iger, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “Both Disney and the Tournament of Roses Parade have long celebrated the spirit of America and the people who make it extraordinary — including our service members, veterans, and their families. By featuring our own veteran cast members, we’re excited to kick off the year at this iconic event and share the Disney magic that connects generations.”

For more than a century, Disney’s storytelling has celebrated American ideals — honoring the nation’s past, present, and future. Disney invites families everywhere to commemorate America’s historic 250th anniversary through special events, new attractions like Soarin’ Across America, expanded support for military families and a multi-platform broadcast event on July 4. On 4th of July weekend, Disney parks in the United States will feature themed fireworks and events, and programming across ABC, National Geographic and ESPN will highlight American heroes, traditions and communities.

ABC will broadcast live coverage of the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California on January 1, beginning at 11 a.m. ET. The two-hour broadcast will be hosted by ESPN SportsCenter anchors Kevin Negandhi and Hannah Storm, both returning to the event, along with longtime reporter John Naber.
