Any changes to the existing programs of record could spell out millions of dollars for the companies manufacturing those products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Navy\u2019s LCS program office plans to buy 24 surface warfare, 16 anti-submarine warfare and 24 mine countermeasure modules, said Capt. Ted Zobel, the LCS mission module program manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat\u2019s going to change,\u201d he told reporters during a briefing Thursday at the Surface Navy Association. \u201cYou\u2019ll see those changes documented when the Navy submits the budget for fiscal year \u201819.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/digital-show-dailies\/surface-navy-association\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to read more from the Surface Navy Association symposium! <\/a><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zobel declined to elaborate on which mission packages would grow or decrease in number. Some, like Lockheed Martin\u2019s Hellfire missile (included in the surface warfare module), are widely used across the military. However, others \u2014 like Textron\u2019s common unmanned surface vehicle and General Dynamics\u2019 Knifefish underwater drone hunter \u2014 would be greatly impacted by the Navy\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surface warfare package is scheduled to hit initial operational capability in fiscal 2019, followed by the anti-submarine warfare and mine
