Defense News previously<a href=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/industry\/2017\/10\/05\/ma-wave-continues-as-boeing-announces-acquisition-of-aurora\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" data-original-title=\"\"> reported <\/a>that Aurora founder and CEO John Langford regarded the Boeing acquisition as a way to get the company onto the world stage to further research and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aurora\u2019s president and chief operating officer, Mark Cherry, will become the head of Phantom Works, Boeing\u2019s advanced technology sector. Cherry\u2019s role could potentially include developing technologies to be used for future U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy fighter aircraft bids by
