WASHINGTON \u2014 The timing of the announcement that SAIC\u2019s CEO, Tony Moraco, would hand off the reins<\/a> to his second in command comes at an interesting time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is knee deep in a major corporate integration, following its $2.5 billion acquisition of Engility<\/a>. The shutdown is only slightly in the rearview mirror. And SAIC\u2019s fiscal year will end in a couple of weeks. As if that were not enough, the announcement came the same day as the release of the White House\u2019s fiscal 2020 budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe standard question is timing \u2014 \u2018why now\u2019 and \u2018is something else going on,\u2019 \u201d Moraco said in an interview with Defense News. \u201cThey look for a back story, and there isn\u2019t one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\t
