More than a dozen countries planned to fly the variants when the company was first tapped for the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The soon-to-come milestone, known as \u201cdrop 3,\u201d signifies initial radar warning receiver capability, meaning the system can detect emissions of adversarial radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWinning in the next fight isn\u2019t just about what you can do platform by platform. It\u2019s being able to harness all of that data that\u2019s out there, and being able to do that in real time, or near-real time,\u201d Jen Lewis, president for advanced combat systems at L3Harris, told C4ISRNET on the sidelines of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c4isrnet.com\/battlefield-tech\/space\/2023\/12\/11\/us-must-dominate-in-space-to-win-future-wars-marine-corps-glavy-says\/\" target=\"_blank\">Association of Old Crows conference<\/a> in Maryland. Penetrating \u2014 or slipping past \u2014 those defenses is critical. We have been comfortable, as a nation, with having superiority in that domain. But, again, with your playbook on display, folks get smarter about how to counter it,\u201d Paul DeLia, a director of strategy development at L3Harris, said. \u201cI\u2019m very happy to see a reinvigoration of electronic warfare.
