The MAAC has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/News-Stories\/Article\/Article\/4207235\/dla-fuels-maritime-superiority-with-5-billion-contract\/\" rel=\"\">five one-year options at $1 billion each<\/a> and can potentially reach up to $10 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere are significantly long lead times the Navy faces &#8230; this contracting vehicle streamlines and reduces our end of the administrative lead time,\u201d Elizabeth Allen, DLA Maritime Mechanicsburg\u2019s deputy director, said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dla.mil\/About-DLA\/News\/News-Article-View\/Article\/4199142\/dla-fuels-maritime-superiority-with-5-billion-contract\/\" rel=\"\">in a release<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contract will see companies including SupplyCore, Atlantic Diving Supply, Culmen International, ASRC Federal, Fairwinds Technologies and S&amp;K Aerospace manufacture parts for an array of U.S. Navy vessels, including Virginia-class nuclear-powered fast-attack submarines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SupplyCore is taking on the task of supplying the Navy with components <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supplycore.com\/solutions\/maritime-acquisition-advancement-contract\/\" rel=\"\">spanning a wide array of different vessel types<\/a>, including carriers, cruisers, destroyers, submarines, unmanned surface and underwater vehicles and other systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are honored to support the naval warfighter through the MAAC, a contract that underscores our dedication to sustaining the operational readiness of our military,\u201d SupplyCore President and CEO Peter Provenzano said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2025\/06\/03\/3092998\/0\/en\/SupplyCore-Awarded-10-Year-Maritime-Acquisition-Advancement-Contract.html\" rel=\"\">in a release<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Navy continues to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/congress\/2025\/06\/24\/senators-concerned-with-navy-shipbuilding-delays-budget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\" title=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/congress\/2025\/06\/24\/senators-concerned-with-navy-shipbuilding-delays-budget\/\">under immense pressure to speed up the process of shipbuilding<\/a> and modernize methods of repair and manufacturing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, the Navy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2025\/05\/29\/five-navy-ships-now-outfitted-with-augmented-reality-maintenance-tech\/\" rel=\"\">implemented Augmented Reality Maintenance Systems<\/a> on five vessels to modify the process of troubleshooting systems at sea. The service is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2025\/06\/20\/navy-uses-3-d-printing-to-manufacture-destroyer-parts\/\" rel=\"\">turning to 3-D printing<\/a> to manufacture components for vessels at a more rapid pace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its fiscal 2026 budget proposal, the Navy requested $989 million to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/pentagon-congress\/2025\/06\/26\/navy-budget-seeks-to-boost-modernization-of-fleet-shipyards\/\" rel=\"\">modernize drydock facilities<\/a> at its four
