The companies said the integration is a step toward coordinated, multi-vehicle defense systems that connect sensors, radars and command nodes across formations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the battlefield, loitering munitions, one-way attack drones and autonomous swarms can strike from multiple directions with little warning, Anduril said in a post announcing the deal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spark Radar is designed to detect both air and ground threats \u201cwith class-leading range, speed, and fidelity,\u201d while using Anduril\u2019s Lattice command-and-control software to share threat data between vehicles and command posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building Spark Radar into vehicle platforms from the outset will allow tighter integration and improved performance, while providing \u201ca clear path to scalable protection across fleets,\u201d Anduril said in the post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company described the effort as part of a broader push to move survivability away from platform-specific defenses toward \u201ccoordinated, multi-vehicle systems of systems.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The companies plan to start with armored vehicles before expanding to command posts, missile launchers, and fires elements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGeneral Dynamics Land Systems has long been at the forefront of designing and producing ground combat systems,\u201d said Zachary Mears, Anduril\u2019s senior vice president of strategy and growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GDLS is among the world\u2019s largest producers of tracked and wheeled military vehicles, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/land\/2025\/04\/14\/us-army-plans-to-dramatically-accelerate-abrams-tank-modernization\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/land\/2025\/04\/14\/us-army-plans-to-dramatically-accelerate-abrams-tank-modernization\/\">Abrams main battle tank<\/a> and the Stryker combat vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Integrating Spark Radar into GDLS platforms brings together \u201ctheir deep expertise in combat vehicle design with Anduril\u2019s modern integrated mission systems: advanced sensing and battle management technologies that deliver robust maneuver protection,\u201d Mears said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u201cTogether, we\u2019re ensuring maneuver forces have the awareness, modular hard- and soft-kill capability, and integrated layered defenses they need to prevail in increasingly complex threat environments,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The radar will be key to keeping troops protected during ground operations, said Jeff Massimilla, GDLS vice president for global engineering, design and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s nothing that can substitute for a ground combat vehicle when you need to seize and hold terrain on the battlefield, and this extremely capable Spark Radar is critical to identifying threats and keeping soldiers in the fight,\u201d Massimilla said. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t be more excited about our growing number of strategic partnerships with innovative tech companies such as Anduril, and we\u2019re going to continue to work tirelessly to ensure our customers have the power to win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GDLS is also partnered with companies like AeroVironment, Applied Intuition and Palantir on its XM30 Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle design effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company is in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/land\/2025\/06\/12\/two-industry-teams-to-begin-bending-metal-for-bradley-replacement\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/land\/2025\/06\/12\/two-industry-teams-to-begin-bending-metal-for-bradley-replacement\/\">head-to-head competition<\/a> with American Rheinmetall to build a Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle replacement that will likely be hybrid and optionally manned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Financial terms of the partnership weren\u2019t disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing how ground forces detect and respond to threats, laying the groundwork for \u201cmore
