The $395 million ceiling includes the base year and all options.<br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Next Generation SOC contract will enable DHS components \u2014 namely the Office of the CIO, National Protections and Programs Directorate, and Science and Technology Directorate \u2014 to buy cybersecurity tools and support services to secure the department\u2019s internal networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While those three specific DHS components will take the lead, all DHS components will be able to issue task orders on the contract to secure their networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The task orders issued hereunder will be designed to acquire a broad range of services and solutions \u2014 under various contract types \u2014 to fulfill the department\u2019s cybersecurity mission,&#8221; according to the solicitation. That mission includes a mandate to &#8220;prevent, detect, contain and eradicate cyber threats through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to DHS information systems.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specific services and requirements will be determined at the task order level.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
