An Amazon spokesperson confirmed Federal Times\u2019 reporting, adding that it was filed with the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a video obtained by Federal Times, Jassy said at an all-hands meeting with Amazon Worldwide that the company was going to \u201cpush the government to shine a light on what really happened.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jassy also cited the political pressures that came from the White House as interfering in the contract proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think when you have a sitting president who\u2019s willing to publicly show his disdain for a company and the leader of a company, it\u2019s very difficult for government agencies including the DoD to make an objective decision without fear of reprisal,\u201d Jassy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The JEDI cloud is potentially worth $10 billion over 10 years. Microsoft<a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/home\/2019\/10\/26\/amazon-or-microsoft-dod-picks-a-winner-for-its-controversial-jedi-contract\/\" target=_blank> beat out Amazon<\/a> in what was largely seen as an upset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAWS is uniquely experienced and qualified to provide the critical technology the U.S. military needs, and remains committed to supporting the DoD\u2019s modernization efforts,\u201d an AWS spokesperson said in a statement. &#8220;We also believe it\u2019s critical for our country that the government and its elected leaders administer procurements objectively and in a manner that is free from political influence. Numerous aspects of the JEDI evaluation process contained clear deficiencies, errors, and unmistakable bias \u2014 and it\u2019s important that these matters be examined and rectified.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the meeting, Jassy also claimed that in a comparison of Microsoft and AWS\u2019s cloud platform, AWS was the frontrunner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe feel pretty strongly that it wasn\u2019t adjudicated fairly,\u201d Jassy said. \u201cI think that if you do any thorough, apples-to-apples, objective comparison of AWS versus Microsoft you don\u2019t come out deciding that they\u2019re comparable platforms. Most of our customers will tell us that we\u2019re about 24 months ahead of Microsoft in functionality and maturity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contract has been controversial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/home\/2019\/07\/10\/jedi-how-we-got-here\/\" target=\"_blank\">since the outset<\/a>. The contract award was delayed for months due to a protest and court case filed by Oracle, which levied several conflict of interest allegations against Amazon. Oracle\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/it-networks\/cloud\/2019\/08\/27\/oracle-sues-again-jedi-case-going-to-federal-appeals-court\/\" target=\"_blank\">case is currently <\/a>in the U.S Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, after<a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/2019\/07\/12\/oracle-loses-argument-in-jedi-court-case\/\" target=\"_blank\"> losing in a lower court<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the acquisition process, the Pentagon has struggled to clearly explain the basic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/it-networks\/cloud\/2019\/10\/29\/how-the-pentagon-still-struggles-to-explain-its-massive-cloud-contract\/\" target=_blank>details of JEDI cloud<\/a>. Industry has also questioned the single award contract structure and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/govcon\/contracting\/2019\/10\/30\/so-what-problems-does-jedi-solve-really\/\" target=_blank>what capabilities the JEDI cloud would<\/a> give the war fighter that it doesn\u2019t have today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pentagon has said that it plans to move
