{"id":13399,"date":"2018-09-04T18:50:02","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T18:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/federaltimes\/uncategorized\/2018\/09\/04\/dod-extends-deadline-for-its-10b-cloud-contract\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T04:30:47","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T04:30:47","slug":"dod-extends-deadline-for-its-10b-cloud-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/federaltimes\/govcon\/2018\/09\/04\/dod-extends-deadline-for-its-10b-cloud-contract\/","title":{"rendered":"DoD extends deadline for its $10B cloud contract"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pentagon has pushed back the response deadline for its $10 billion, single-award <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/it-networks\/2018\/07\/26\/jedi-10b-final-request-drops-and-its-still-single-award\/\" target=_blank>Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud contract<\/a> by nearly a month, according to an Aug. 31 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbo.gov\/index?s=opportunity&#038;mode=form&#038;tab=core&#038;id=38bd3e33414337cdc805c21004d85477&#038;_cview=0\" target=_blank>FedBizOpps posting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Defense made amendments to five documents associated with the contract, which, according to the new posting, were part of the consideration for moving the request for proposal due date to Oct. 9, rather than the previous Sept. 17 deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the amended documents, the DoD released 59 industry comments and corresponding government answers about the first RFP amendment made Aug. 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contract has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federaltimes.com\/govcon\/2018\/08\/07\/jedi-cloud-contract-receives-first-protest\/\" target=_blank>already received industry protest<\/a> prior to award, after many criticized the DoD\u2019s intent to award the contract to a single cloud provider. The due date for that protest, moved to Dec. 3 after an update was made, is still well beyond the new bidding deadline.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pentagon extended the
