The Professional Services Council is acquiring the TechAmerica Foundation. PSC and CompTIA, which owns TechAmerica, announced the agreement Feb. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The acquisition includes TechAmerica’s Vision Forecast and Conference, Defense Strategic Planning Forum, annual CIO survey and the American Technology Awards. The transaction is effective immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This transaction will enhance PSC’s effectiveness and our ability to deliver greater value to our members,” said PSC President and CEO Stan Soloway. “The TechAmerica Foundation, its programs and research are all highly regarded. Moreover, they naturally align with our mission and our organizational model. As such, there is enormous potential to build on those legacies and we are committed to doing so.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CompTIA President and CEO Todd Thibodeaux said PSC is “aligned to maximize the value” of TechAmerica’s Vision Conference and other events and products. “We committed ourselves to ensuring the future of Vision and the other associated foundation programs and, even more importantly, to doing all we could to support the terrific people associated with the foundation and its work,” he said. “We are pleased that PSC was able to take on these programs, which will benefit the members that are part of the sector. This transaction is the ideal fit to continue these signature programs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
