contract will soon be reaching out to potential bidders to assess their qualifications and financial information.<br\/><br\/> Alliant 2 lead contracting officer John Cavadias said in <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/interact.gsa.gov\/document\/status-update-offerors-gsa-alliant-2-unrestricted-gwac\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Link: https:\/\/interact.gsa.gov\/document\/status-update-offerors-gsa-alliant-2-unrestricted-gwac\">an April 7 blog post<\/a> on the agency&#8217;s Interact site that the Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts team for the Alliant 2 Unrestricted contract has moved to the source selection phase and would be contacting bidders to verify information related to their financial form 527 submissions and the small business subcontracting plans.<br\/><br\/> &#8220;These processes are the government taking steps to adequately complete their evaluations of proposal documents received,&#8221; the blog post said. &#8220;If an offeror does not receive a call or email from a member of the A2 team, it means no further information is required by the team at this time to complete a proposal evaluation.&#8221;<br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Award determinations on A2 are not expected to occur for several months,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Until that date of award announcement, there will be no information disseminated to the public on the current status of any offeror\u2019s ranking or score.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSA financial form 527 details a contract bidder\u2019s eligibility for a government contract, including assets, liabilities, government financial aid and indebtedness and other information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cavadias said that not all bidders should expect to receive contacts from GSA finance officials, while others could be asked to clarify their small business subcontracting plans &#8220;for purposes of continued evaluations.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contracts\u2019 request for proposal provides for up to 60 contract awardees determined on an evaluation scheme where bidders assign themselves points in four categories to determine the &#8220;highest technically rated&#8221; bid &#8220;with a fair and reasonable price.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The IT contracts\u2019 RFP was allowed to move forward on Jan. 17 after the Government Accountability Office dismissed protests by four contractors that claimed the awardee limit was too low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alliant 2 Unrestricted and Alliant 2 Small Business\u00a0contracts are expected to be awarded
