Thomas Sasala, CTO of the Army&#8217;s IT Agency, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.c4isrnet.com\/story\/military\/interview\/pm\/2014\/12\/02\/pentagons-virtualized-desktop-infrastructure-reaches-18000-computers\/19798171\/\" title=\"http:\/\/www.c4isrnet.com\/story\/military\/interview\/pm\/2014\/12\/02\/pentagons-virtualized-desktop-infrastructure-reaches-18000-computers\/19798171\/\">told C4ISRNet in December<\/a> that 18,000 of the Pentagon&#8217;s more than 50,000 desktop computers had been virtualized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;From a desktop perspective, we think it is a game-changer for us,&#8221; Sasala said at the time. &#8220;There are really two fundamental reasons for that, which revolve around patch management, as well as the larger management-monitoring-maintenance
