The reduction of friction will allow for evolutionary strategies building on previous transformation efforts.\u00a0<br\/><br\/> Collaborative efforts and improved efficiency can fuel the ability to acquire the tools and skilled talent needed to implement analytics to uncover insight and value from unstructured data sources. Machine learning, cognitive analytics, robotics process automation and bots can drive these productivity strategies, as well as campaigns to enhance citizen engagement.<br\/><br\/> The Everything-as-a-Service model of transforming systems into reusable platforms will cut costs, spread benefits across organizational barriers and mean better mission support in the future.<br\/><br\/> Blockchain, which is a shared-ledger technology for securely managing digital assets, could improve the process of digital contracting.<br\/><br\/> And a blend of augmented and virtual reality and the internet of things could provide critical intelligence and digital content without impacting situational awareness, particularly applicable to military operations.<br\/><br\/> The report acknowledges the challenges of embracing changes across broad, complex government organizations, but suggests adopting automated, flexible, open, virtual and cloud-native IT attributes will improve all strategic
