DoD has become more serious and structured over time, the official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official&#8217;s assessment was based on a new set of Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR) released March 19. Perhaps the most dramatic result tracked in those reports is the $7.7 billion cost reduction for the F-35 joint strike fighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">See the full report,
