The new bases will join the program in 2016, according to a report in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/story\/veterans\/2015\/11\/05\/program-opens-doors-growing-solar-industry\/75170268\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marine Corps Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program, which launched this year, is part of the Energy Department&#8217;s SunShot Initiative. The original bases, which have trained about 100 military members making the move back to civilian life, are Camp Pendleton, California; Fort Carson, Colorado; and Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bases that will become part of the program next year are still being chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Veterans who take part in the program will get training as solar photovoltaic system installers, inspectors\u00a0and sales representatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The program, which has
