consolidation in an attempt to reduce costs and improve service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make the transition effective, organizations should use a variety of metrics to evaluate their technologies, according to an article at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biztechmagazine.com\/article\/2016\/03\/how-it-metrics-can-drive-it-transformation\" target=\"_blank\">BizTech.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>BONUS:<\/strong>\u00a0FCC CIO David Bray recently hosted a Federal Times webcast on IT Transformation. <a href=\"https:\/\/event.on24.com\/eventRegistration\/EventLobbyServlet?target=reg20.jsp&amp;referrer=&amp;eventid=1101229&amp;sessionid=1&amp;key=C0B72CDC4E9FBBD6941FEE9E75ED66C0&amp;regTag=&amp;sourcepage=register\" target=\"_blank\">Go here to view it on-demand<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drawing on a survey of private-sector businesses, the article reports that <strong>&#8220;<\/strong>fewer than half [of the executives surveyed] rate the level of innovation in their IT groups as &#8216;good&#8217; or &#8216;very high,&#8217; and fewer still give those ratings when asked about IT&#8217;s progress toward a true IT transformation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The executives suggested a range of metrics, including the reliability and security of infrastructure, quality and timeliness of application delivery and speed of problem resolution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many agencies are
