{"id":20615,"date":"2014-12-04T17:08:00","date_gmt":"2014-12-04T17:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/federaltimes\/uncategorized\/2014\/12\/04\/alliant-ii-managers-ask-industry-for-leading-edge-tech-experience\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T04:51:32","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T04:51:32","slug":"alliant-ii-managers-ask-industry-for-leading-edge-tech-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/federaltimes\/management\/2014\/12\/04\/alliant-ii-managers-ask-industry-for-leading-edge-tech-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"Alliant II managers ask industry for leading-edge tech experience"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The General Services Administration is looking to gauge vendors&#8217; experience with 18 &#8220;leading edge technologies&#8221; (LETs), including big data, the Internet of things, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alliant II GWAC managers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbo.gov\/index?s=opportunity&amp;mode=form&amp;id=1ed052b1eb1404ff52c1a87ea014ca71&amp;tab=core&amp;_cview=0\">issued a request for information<\/a> on Dec. 2 that includes a survey for large and small business. The survey asks vendors whether they have experience delivering on each technology, specifically as the prime contractor (not subcontractor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/152WEoEz0bL8wtNipnGnMLsAB1wqZGlDlkF_ePE2_4NM\/viewform?c=0&amp;w=1\">Take the survey<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSA is not looking at untested or high-risk technologies \u2014 termed &#8220;bleeding edge technology&#8221; \u2014 but rather &#8220;highly sophisticated and cutting edge developments&#8221; already being implemented, according to the RFI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In releasing the survey, the Alliant team is trying to determine the maturity level of each technology in the private sector and vendors&#8217; ability to deliver on potential contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The RFI also notes that technologies might be added or removed from the list as GSA gathers more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rundown of LETs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25a0 Autonomic Computing \u2014 self-managing software based on the human
