A set of questions on executive core qualifications asks prospective candidates to detail how they lead change, lead people, are driven by results, can build coalitions and have the business acumen to act strategically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Posting: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/GetJob\/ViewDetails\/413163200\" title=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/GetJob\/ViewDetails\/413163200\">Deputy CIO for Operations and Infrastrucutre<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The posting on USAjobs suggests an applicant&#8217;s resume should &#8220;emphasize your level of responsibilities, the scope and complexity of programs managed and your program accomplishments, including the results of your actions.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates should also be able to demonstrate key technical qualifications associated with managing IT for a large organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deputy CIO for operations and infrastructure has five core responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Overall responsibility for providing executive leadership for agencywide IT operations and infrastructure;<\/li><li>Ensure strategic oversight and accountability of critical mission IT programs and functions, highly complex departmentwide initiatives and projects, IT investments and budget;<\/li><li>Provide strategic leadership, oversight and direction to associate CIOs in the National Information Technology Center, Client Technology Services and the Directors of Enterprise Network Services;<\/li><li>Represent the USDA CIO with senior executives throughout the department, other federal agencies, USDA focus customer groups and other organizations both public and private; and<\/li><li>Provide executive level leadership and oversight to USDA&#8217;s IT infrastructure initiatives, to include the consolidation of data centers across the department in accordance with OMB directives and efforts to make appropriate use of public and private cloud technology.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The full-time position carries a salary range of $175,000 to $183,000 a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicantions are due by Tuesday, Sept.
