{"id":23645,"date":"2015-10-16T16:43:02","date_gmt":"2015-10-16T16:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/federaltimes\/uncategorized\/2015\/10\/16\/gsa-releases-final-rfp-for-50b-eis-telecom-vehicle\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T04:57:04","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T04:57:04","slug":"gsa-releases-final-rfp-for-50b-eis-telecom-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/federaltimes\/acquisition\/gsa\/2015\/10\/16\/gsa-releases-final-rfp-for-50b-eis-telecom-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"GSA releases final RFP for $50B EIS telecom vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The General Services Administration released the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbo.gov\/index?s=opportunity&amp;mode=form&amp;tab=core&amp;id=1719f5f50ed2757c1984491f04bfb93d\" title=\"https:\/\/www.fbo.gov\/index?s=opportunity&amp;mode=form&amp;tab=core&amp;id=1719f5f50ed2757c1984491f04bfb93d\">final request for proposals<\/a> for vendors interested in its Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) telecommunications contract vehicle on Oct. 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The $50 billion vehicle \u2014 part of GSA&#8217;s Network Solutions 2020 program \u2014 is set to replace the Networx contract vehicle, which was originally set to expire in 2017 but was extended to 2020 to help with a smooth transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSA expects most civilian agencies will order off the vehicle and is also making a push for more business from the Department of Defense, in particular the Defense Information Services Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSA released a draft RFP in February and originally planned to release the final version this summer. However, after extensive feedback from industry \u2014 including more than 1,600 comments \u2014 the NS2020 team delayed the final RFP in order to refine the scope and language of the
