I would like to know the pros and cons of suspending my FEHB and getting a Medicare Advantage Plan. If I stay with FEHB and Medicare I will be paying $149 a month for FEHB and $164 a month for Medicare. At this time a have little or no health problems and take no prescription medication. If I do suspend FEHB, how difficult is it to reinstate and is there a time limit for the suspension?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reg\u2019s Response<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, you may suspend your FEHB coverage in favor of a Medicare Advantage Plan. To do that, you\u2019ll have to complete a Health Benefit Cancellation\/Suspension Confirmation form, available at <a href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.opm.gov%2Fforms%2Fpdf_fill%2Fri79-9.pdf&#038;data=05%7C01%7Ccary.oreilly%40mco.com%7Ca6e43631258a4782a08a08db20afdb70%7C1d5c96e57ee2446dbed8d0f8c50edea5%7C1%7C1%7C638139711939584630%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&#038;sdata=9gstEeaknGPYf%2BQFOL7WOvW6munRdC%2F2vbmiWnn%2F7uY%3D&#038;reserved=0\">https:\/\/www.opm.gov\/forms\/pdf_fill\/ri79-9.pdf<\/a>and send it to OPM.
