Four percent were enrolled in the older Civil Service Retirement System, which covers only employees hired before 1984.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A third of all annuitants live in California, Texas, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Editor\u2019s note: This is not a scientific survey.
