The innovation team at 18F \u2014 an intra-governmental consultancy that helps agencies on digital projects\u00a0\u2014\u00a0won’t be growing much larger in the near-term, as the group is currently pausing its onboarding process to deal with a backlog of applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the team is “briefly pausing applications while we evolve how 18F plans for open roles,” three positions remain open, all of them focused on securing applications and networks from breaches, according to the team’s jobs site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joining 18F:\u00a0<\/strong>Three Open Cybersecurity Positions<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n An 18F spokesperson noted the Technology Transformation Service \u2014 a newly created business line<\/a> at GSA that now houses 18F \u2014\u00a0is hiring for a few positions, including commissioner<\/a>, and 18F is “processing a large candidate backlog while assessing their capacity so that they can continue to work on the most pressing technology problems brought forth by our federal agencies while delivering cost savings to the American people.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n During that time, 18F will still be looking to fill three positions: an application security engineer, penetration tester and security operations engineer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “18F is looking for talented [cybersecurity professionals] to join our team and help us build secure applications,” according to the applications. “This is a unique opportunity to help redefine how the government builds secure software.
